Chapter Three - The Meowth, The Zigzagoon and the Bike!
Joanna and Ashton were sitting on their beds, at the pokemon center.
"Erm...I think in approximately four days, we'll make it to the island." Joanna said, tracing her finger from their town to the coast. It wasn't too far. It would have been better if they had bikes, which apparently some Growlithe had chewed.
"Then we have to hire a boat to this island," Ashton continued, pointing at one near the coast.
"But we have to use that boat to go to Lugia's Island, Lightning Island, Fire Island and Ice Island too." Joanna confirmed.
"So that's our plan?"
"More or less." Joanna layed back on her bed, and Ashton kept staring at the map, trying to find another way to get to the coast. An much quicker way.
"We could cut through the forest, but that's dangerous." Ashton mumbled.
"Hey Jo an-" Joh had already fallen asleep when Ashton was talking. Ashton couldn't help but smile. He pulled the covers over Jo before sitting on his own bed and turning off the lamp, falling asleep himself.
"Man I wish we had a bike." Ashton sighed. Jo looked through an guide book, that came with the map.
"Well, we can apparently buy some in the next town."
"Jo, do you know how much it costs to buy a bike?!" Ashton asked, letting out his Pidgeot. Joanna's Pidgeot went and started talking to Ashton's Pidgeot.
"Well it says around $250 per bike."
"Any cheaper?"
"Errmm...no." Jo replied. Ashton sighed.
"Oh well." An Growlithe suddenly jumped out of the bushes and ran into the trainers. Joanna picked it up.
"Aww you're cute!" The Growlithe, however, looked down at their feet, which had an Mankey. Judging by the size of the Growlithe, it was an pup. The Mankey was most likely an teen.
"Pidgeot, tackle!" Jo's Pidgeot dived at the mankey, and the mankey had jumped backwards, into the tall grass. He stuck his head up and hissed before running away.
"Are you okay?" Joanna asked the small Growlithe. The Growlithe nodded, and when she was put down, she rubbed her head against Joanna's leg.
"I think she wants to stay with you." Ashton grinned.
"I see that." Joanna replied, throwing an pokeball at Growlithe, who didn't protest, just let herself be captured. Joanna picked up the Pokeball. She cheered alittle, then gained composture.
"Thankyou for buying at Royce Bikes!" Royce called from behind Jo and Ashton. They nodded in response, and after they had brought some other supplies, Ashton and Jo hopped onto their bikes, and sped off into the distance. They were certainly going to make it to the coast soon.
